A'nesis Transformation Model is dedicated to equipping God’s helping professionals with unique and creative tools to bring permanent
transformation to the Body of Christ by combining biblical principles with cutting edge trauma techniques.
Yes! It is possible for trauma informed counseling to be Christ-centered!
This model is designed to open the eyes of the heart so they (clients) will know the hope of their glory (Eph 1:18) and remove the residue of wounding from their past. To this end, clients will live out of their true identity and purpose. (Eph 2:10).“In the last days, God will be enthroned in the very lives of His people.” Rev 21:3
A’nesis is a Greek word that means “comfort for the afflicted; a liberating rest.” In addition, A’nesis means “freedom for the captives.”
Trudy M. Johnson, PhD.,LMFT, CCTS-1 constantly researched ways to bring freedom to the Body of Christ. Glean from her years of study to adopt exciting new ways to help clients needing resolution for past trauma. They don't know what they don't know! With the help of the Emet trauma resolution tool you can bring Truth and freedom to hearts of clients who are blocked in their relationships with themselves, others and God.
The history of Trudy Johnson's journey of learning how to help hurting and broken clients expands almost 20 years and over 18,000 counseling hours.
In 2005, Trudy Johnson began her counseling career learning Brief Intensive Therapy in a Christian retreat center in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Working with clients one or two weeks at a time for three hours a day she realized this form of therapy for "the hard" issues was much more effective than 50 minutes of hourly counseling.
In 2010, Trudy went to a secular training (Dr. Peter Levine) about the connection to trauma and mind and body. She was intrigued with the concepts but wanted to make sure it was in bounds for her Christian belief system. It was then she found the Splankna Training Institute (www.splankna.com) that is known for "redeeming mind and body work for the Body of Christ."
In 2012, Ms. Johnson stepped out on her own and began holding her own Brief Intensive counseling weeks. At one point in her career she was working at a Christian Retreat Center near Buena Vista, Colorado (Sanctuary) and also traveling part time to host intensive weeks in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at A'nesis Asbury Retreat Center.
Seeing the need to help trauma clients, especially one client suffering from her incredible journey with DID, Trudy began a quest of learning and absorbing every trauma training possible in her spare time, including some mentoring from Arthur Burk with Sapphire Leadership Group. (www.theslg.com)
Learning Biblical formation and trauma from a biblical perspective from Ashland Seminary was a key component for Dr. Trudy's personal and professional journey. In 2019 she would finish her Doctorate in Biblical Counseling from Masters International School of Divinity that further cemented her Biblical grounding and knowledge. (www.mdivs.edu)
Out of the numerous trainings and knowledge, the Emet Trauma Resolution tool was born. This is a stand-alone program to help bring freedom to clients. In addition, this tool can be incorporated for use in the A'nesis Intensive counseling week for individuals and also for the A'nesis marriage bootcamps.
